About a week ago, the video of the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor E.A Adeboye, saying people who do not pay tithe will not make heaven, caused a serious frenzy on the Nigerian internet.
In an obvious response to Pastor Adeboye’s statement, Reno Omokri via his twitter handle, wrote,
“The only qualification Jesus gave for entry to heaven is that you should be born again then born of water and the Spirit. No pastor can set a financial qualification to entering heaven. Paying tithes has nothing to do with entering heaven. Such pastors should read 1 Timothy 6:5-6”.
Yesterday a twitter user who is a member of RCCG, described Pastor Adeboye as a fraud over his comment on tithing. Read what the RCCG member wrote on twitter here.
